What the judges said ...

  • Each participant can enter no more than one photo in the COMPETITION.
  • A photo can be used for a single COMPETITION only.
  • The photo must be submitted in digital jpeg and cannot exceed 5MB.
  • Photos can only be taken with Olympus cameras.
  • Photos can be digitally retouched if the essence of the image is not altered by the process.
  • OLYMPUS reserves the final decision as to whether or not the essence of the image was altered.
  • Photos with watermarks or other impress content (date, time, etc.) will not be considered for the COMPETITION.
  • Photos that infringe the Terms and Conditions of the MyOLYMPUS website and services can be deleted by OLYMPUS without further notice.
  • All MyOLYMPUS users can vote on the submitted photos.
  • From the photos with the most votes a jury will pick the winning photo based primarily on criteria including the technique of the shot, creativity, degree of performance in regard to the monthly theme, etc.

Is there any month of the year that is more cosy and romantic than December? Christmas is almost here and we are already counting the days. It is not only the season of love (and lots of good food), but also the season of lights. Candles, fires, and glittery lights of Christmas decorations that fill up the streets and our homes – they all contribute to the warm atmosphere and that festive spirit which makes this time of the year so special. So, bring some more light into our everyday lives with your personal interpretation of this topic for our December Picture of the Month Contest.
