WITH A DEEP LOVE AND RESPECT FOR NATURE…
I am a OM System ambassador and a full time nature and outdoor photographer from Norway.
I take pictures of nature and wildlife first of all because I love the outdoor life and every thing about nature.
As a photographer it is easy to become just a spectator, but I try to avoid that.
My goal is to get under the skin and becoming a part of nature while documenting but also creating art.
I was raised in a family of avid outdoors people and lumberjackers in the deep eastern Norwegian woods. It made a huge impact on whom I became. I was taught to respect wildlife in all its forms. I was also taught to be a positive ambassador for the outdoor way of life, while at the same time being a part of nature harvesting from its abundance.
I have a long and varied experience as photographer, guide and outdoor person.
Over the years I have been able to collect and combine knowledge of nature with the skills of creating photos. Throughout all the seasons from hot summer days in the lowlands to bone chilling and freezing cold up in the mountains during the winter I feel at home in the wilderness.
I am so lucky to have many of my photos published worldwide. Newspapers and magazines all over the world have published my pictures as well as a huge variety of private and commercial web sites.
Many companies, premises and private homes have my photos on their wall for decoration.
I have been so fortunate to work for some great brands such as Garmin, Pinewood, Fjällräven, Swarovski Optik, WWF and many more.
I am also often hired to do assignments for companies to take commercial photos but also to teach their employees more about photography and the “language of the camera”.
In addition to taking pictures I also give lectures on nature photography as well as holding workshops and photography classes. I also have several photo hides for hire for other nature photographers.
I have a great passion for sharing the joy of photography and knowledge about wildlife and nature with other people.
I love to meet new people - not just animals and birds!
My mantra is that nature photography shall be funny and rewarding.
Making photos shall provide you with a stress free and creative pause from the everyday life.
