What the judges said ...

  • Each participant can enter no more than one photo in the COMPETITION.
  • A photo can be used for a single COMPETITION only.
  • The photo must be submitted in digital jpeg and cannot exceed 5MB.
  • Photos can only be taken with Olympus cameras.
  • Photos can be digitally retouched if the essence of the image is not altered by the process.
  • OLYMPUS reserves the final decision as to whether or not the essence of the image was altered.
  • Photos with watermarks or other impress content (date, time, etc.) will not be considered for the COMPETITION.
  • Photos that infringe the Terms and Conditions of the MyOLYMPUS website and services can be deleted by OLYMPUS without further notice.
  • All MyOLYMPUS users can vote on the submitted photos.
  • From the photos with the most votes a jury will pick the winning photo based primarily on criteria including the technique of the shot, creativity, degree of performance in regard to the monthly theme, etc.

Contest's terms and conditions

Creativity has many faces which express themselves in a variety of formats, photography being one. We believe that there is an artist in all of us. The interplay of light and colour or an unusual composition in a still life or landscape photograph can become an artistic expression. We invite you to use this Picture of the Month Contest to express yourself: release yourself from fixed thought patterns – let your imagination run free and experiment with your photography. We can't wait to see your super-creative pictures this month!
