What the judges said ...

  • Each participant can enter no more than one photo in the COMPETITION.
  • A photo can be used for a single COMPETITION only.
  • The photo must be submitted in digital jpeg and cannot exceed 5MB.
  • Photos can only be taken with Olympus cameras.
  • Photos can be digitally retouched if the essence of the image is not altered by the process.
  • OLYMPUS reserves the final decision as to whether or not the essence of the image was altered.
  • Photos with watermarks or other impress content (date, time, etc.) will not be considered for the COMPETITION.
  • Photos that infringe the Terms and Conditions of the MyOLYMPUS website and services can be deleted by OLYMPUS without further notice.
  • All MyOLYMPUS users can vote on the submitted photos.
  • From the photos with the most votes a jury will pick the winning photo based primarily on criteria including the technique of the shot, creativity, degree of performance in regard to the monthly theme, etc.

As the days are getting shorter and nights longer, we have to make the most of this dark and gloomy season. Which is why we want you to share your most beautiful night time shots with us, whether it is a beautiful sky full of stars that you captured or the marvelous city lights that enlighten the dark nights: show us how beautiful the darker season can be in our Picture of the Month Contest.
