What the judges said ...

  • Each participant can enter no more than one photo in the Challenge.
  • A photo can be used for a single Challenge only.
  • The photo must be submitted in digital jpeg and cannot exceed 5MB.
  • Photos can only be taken with Olympus cameras or lens.
  • Photos can be digitally retouched if the essence of the image is not altered by the process.
  • OLYMPUS reserves the final decision as to whether or not the essence of the image was altered.
  • Photos with watermarks or other impress content (date, time, etc.) will not be considered for the Challenge.
  • Photos that infringe the Terms and Conditions of the MyOlympus website and services can be deleted by OLYMPUS without further notice.
  • All MyOlympus users can vote on the submitted photos.
  • From the photos with the most votes a jury will pick the winning photo based primarily on criteria including the technique of the shot, creativity, degree of performance in regard to the monthly theme, etc.

“The art of living is learning to dance in the rain instead of waiting for the sun.” When it is rainy and misty outside, many of us would like to cover up in a cosy blanket at home, enjoying a hot cup of tea while reading a good book, and listening to the relaxing sound of falling raindrops. We believe that rain transmits a certain calmness and peace, and that rainy days can be ideally used to slow down and clear your mind. So, whatever your personal attitude to rain is, we are excited about seeing some creative shots of it for this Picture of the Month Contest in November.
