    it seems my description for the award was lost, so I put it here: a rare effect due to the diffraction of light by small ice crystals in thiny clouds partially veiling the sun. Be careful with direct sun light! I used high F & speed that is safe for the camera, but I CLOSED then my eyes and used the sun warm beam to direct my hands and camera toward the sun.
