What the judges said ...

Wow, what a tricky challenge! I was impressed by the diversity of ideas, motives and inspirations. This was not an easy job, neither for you, nor for me. Why? Hidden Places are hidden gems, full of secrets, magic, loneliness. Places we want to discover. Or leave them as they are. Places that give us riddles. Outside in nature, in the middle of a city or in our fantasy. This monochrome sepia shot of a ride in a hot-air balloon over the jungle truly gives me goosebumps. It is full of poetry and spirituality. Exploring hidden places that are far away from our hectic everyday life is one of the most exciting things we can do. This picture therefore inspires me to take a mind-trip too. In a hot-air balloon by the way. It’s one of the sweetest and coolest ways to travel.

We all feel a little melancholic when summer is about to end, don´t we? Our minds are still dreaming about the beautiful moments we experienced, and we are just not ready for the cold season ahead of us. But nothing is perfect and sometimes we might just need to look at things from a different perspective. To make more out of this September than a long farewell to the summer, with this month’s contest topic, we want to encourage you to go out and fill your days with stories of places that spark our imagination.
