Nice of you, Rob, to address the "driving ingredients" to this imageCamera When I saw the concrete bridge and the yellow scattering, plus the mysterious scooter cover, in this corner of Hamburg that was unknown to me, I knew I wanted to take a photo here, but I didn't have a real idea for the picture yet. The next moment the yellow woman came around the corner .... I didn't have 10 seconds ..... I'd say, this picture lacks composition! But you know that I am "specialized" to post second and third class pictures ..... At the end of the project there should be a photo book for which I would like to choose 50-80 pictures. I have plenty to choose fromThinking
  • I agree, but also only 'super' images can be boring.. too perfect ? Sometimes one in which lacks the 'master ingredients, conditions, composition, can be very puzzling and inspiring, because one gets activated, concerned by the work.. The proces and circumstances you describe crosses the mind immediately, but then.. what could otherwise been done to get this opportunity even 'better' ? We all know this situations well, that everything seems to be available and you know that it should be possible, but it's too sudden and then it turns out that it slips away.. Very human and also good to see and share.. Paul Klee has a painting with title " es Ringt noch.." stayed always in my mind. When everything seems the best, it can be dull in a way too. A Japanese understanding: 'Wabi Sabi': the discovery of beauty and imperfection; the acceptance off the cycle of life and death
