    Good Rob! On this question, the comparison between Winogrand's street photographs and those of Saul Leiter comes to mind. Winogrand usually photographed people from a distance of 2-3 metres, while Leiter was at least 5-10 metres away (at a similarly large scale!). Take a look at the street pictures in comparison: completely different resultsRolling eyesAnd this is not only due to the different mentalities of the two. It is simply not possible to practice the "Winogrand way" with a 45. I usually practise the "Winogrand way" at a close range. The 25 mm is almost too long for that! Here is a good example for "my Winogrand way" with the 17 or the 12: my.olympus-consumer.com/.../362336 It's impossible to get this close intensity with the 45Camera
