Die Männchen der Gebänderten Prachtlibelle haben eine metallisch glänzende, blaugrüne Grundfarbe. Die letzten drei Hinterleibssegmente sind unterseits gelb-weiß gefärbt. Den leicht grünlich getönten Flügeln fehlt das für Libellen so typische Flügelmal.@Libellenwissen.de
