Xyphosia miliaria ist ab etwa Mai an verschiedenen Distelarten zu beobachten. Die Weibchen dieser Art bohren junge Knospen an und legen ihre Eier darin ab. An der Einstichstelle bildet sich eine Galle in der die Larven leben und fressen. www.naturspaziergang.de
