Der Gartenhibiskus (Hibiscus syriacus), auch Straucheibisch genannt, ist im Gegensatz zum Chinesischen Hibiskus, auch unter dem Namen Chinesischer Roseneibisch bekannt, winterhart und kann im Garten angepflanzt werden. Der Gartenhibiskus wird im Beet zwischen 150 und 200 Zentimeter hoch.
