Die Fliegen beobachtet man hauptsächlich von Juni bis September, häufig als Blütenbesucher an Wilder Möhre oder Einjährigen Berufkraut. Es gibt bis zu drei Generationen im Jahr. Die Weibchen legen ihre Eier an Baumwanzen ab. @Wikipedia

  • Wow Lutz, eine klasse Aufnahme, gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich hatte auch noch nie vorher von dieser Fliege gehört und gleich mal "nachgeschlagen". Ein interessantes Insekt, das wohl ursprünglich aus Amerika stammt und bei uns zur Bekämpfung invasiver Wanzen eingeführt wurde.
