In der Nähe wurde eine Villa Rustica gefunden. Um den Römer zu danken, welche den Wein hier einführten, wurde ein Cuvee - Rotwein von den lokalen Winzern "Centurion" getauft. Auch die Granitstatue ist eine lokale Erinnerung daran.
