Die Fliegen sind metallisch grün gefärbt und haben gelbliche Schenkel. Die Männchen haben am Hinterleib eine große weißliche Zange mit schwarzen Zähnen, die in der Ruhestellung nach vorn unter den Hinterleib gelegt wird. Die Zange spielt bei der Paarung eine wichtige Rolle....Insektenbox
