The eastern cemetery is centrally located in Jönköping next to Liljeholmsparken. The cemetery dates from the 17th century and was expanded in both the 1920s and 1970s.
The chapel was built in the 1930s and is similar to the old wooden chapel that was unfortunately destroyed in a fire.
