Tomorrow,«live view, bulb»hand held. Manual m, pre focus on a subject at the same distance as the fireworks, bottom right in the shot, the yellow dotted wavy light is a street lamp. You can see how much I moved the camera for this shot. hold shutter button in move camera around, fill the screen :-)
To all Olympus users, that have "Live bulb" as an option, here is a tip you might like to try,
Choose Manuel mode, Manuel focus on an object close to where the firework are going off, F/8 and be there. 100 iso.
as the first burst goes up, frame your shot, press the shutter release and hold, just move the camera around till the starbursts fill the frame, with "Live bulb" you will see each explosion on the screen as it happens. (works best with totally black background) so some sort of zoom lens might help, any light source in frame will show camera movement)
In this Hand held shot if you look down in the bottom left, the yellow dotted wavy line is a street lamp, exposer time about 5.5 sec, so you can see how much I moved the camera to get this shot. Happy snapping
and a happy new year, remember safety first, and we will all SEE the new year.
