Fajãs are created from collapsing cliffs or lava flows and are identifiable along the coast as "flat" surfaces. Here you can see two of the famous fajã in Saint Jorge Island- Azores: farway the Fajã of Caldeira do Santo Cristo (with an underwater cave and an open lagoon) and near the Fajã dos Cubres
