  .... but Rob .... why should I? .... both "parties" are walking towards one another .... shooting distance 1,5 m!! A reasonably sharp photo needs at least 1/1000th of a second under these circumstances; why would I mess with the aperture, when first priority is the shutter speed? The situation is not at all comparable to your portrait-session with the girl at the fair. That is, for instance, one of the outstanding features of the Pen F, that you have a setting wheel with unbelievable 4 custom set adjustments without having to go into the menu.

  >>>both "parties" are walking towards one another<<< good Rob, I meant myself being the 2nd partyof course you are right about aperture 2 ... but as the brightness increases, the camera is allowed to close the aperture further, as long as the programmed shutter speed is maintained. This means that at 200 ISO, aperture 4 can quickly be achieved .....
