Nach starkem, nassen Schneefall sind die Äste der Bäume bereits teilweise abgebrochen. Da man den Altkönig nur zu Fuß oder MTB erreichen kann, kommen nicht so viele Menschen hier her. Das Bergplateau ist nahezu naturbelassen.
