Das in einem Vulkankrater gelegene Masca liegt im Teno-Gebirge 650–800 m ü. d. M. Der Ort war bis Anfang der 1960er Jahre nur über eine Sandpiste von Santiago del Teide aus zu erreichen. Mittlerweile verbindet eine schmale kurvige Bergstraße Masca mit Buenavista und Santiago del Teide.
