Von der Spitze von Dornsträuchern Hochstauden kann man den kratzigen Gesang des braun-grauen Singvogels hören. Noch gibt es in Deutschland mehr als eine halbe Million Reviere der Dorngrasmücke, doch ihr Lebensraum und ihre Nahrungsgrundlage sind vor allem durch die intensive Landwirtschaft bedroht.
