Die Fliegen findet man von Mai bis August, oft auf Doldenblüten. Nach der Paarung legen die Weibchen Ihre Eier auf Spitzlinge (Wanzen der Gattung Aelia) ab. Die Larven dringen in den Wirt ein und leben dort als Endoparasit. Wenn die Larven ausgewachsen sind, verlassen sie Ihren Wirt. Insektenbox
