One of Australia's smallest birds, the Southern Emu-wren is a tricky one to catch on camera, favouring the bottom of clumps of grasses and often mistaken for a mouse. The filamentous 6-feather tail is an unusual feature of this tiny shy bird, a favourite with bird watchers.
