From the opening of the Winter Fair in Røros, one of the oldest towns of wooden buildings in Europe and located on a gently sloping plateau 628 metres above sea level. The city was founded in 1644 when the first copper ore was found in the area. Røros is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
