The highland village of Lochawe is situated right next to Loch Awe, Scotland's longest freshwater loch, measuring about 41 km. There is a railway halt here, connected directly to Glasgow. And on its top end, you can find the ruins of Kilchurn Castle, which is a very popular tourist destination, too.
