  • Hello aemme - the Schönbrunn Zoo started building "more species-appropriate enclosures" for the animals as early as the late 1980s and is constantly expanding. One already has the impression that the animals do not seem as stressed as in other zoos. In Schönbrunn one tries to build a bridge between animals and humans, i.e. respect for living beings. Man is not necessarily "the crown of creation"!
