In Hallstatt [Austria] they used to beautifully paint the skulls of the deceased villagers. In a dim lit chapel lay hundreds, if not thousands, of skulls and bones. It's an impressive, although somewhat eerie, sight... I tried to respectfully catch the atmosphere.
Hallstatt offers the visitor and the passionate photographer a lot of beautiful and sometimes unusual things. You just have to get involved in the charm of the cramped city, then it captivates the people. I think you have reproduced the situation with dignity, as well as the following pictures!
