Walter, der 80jährige Lokführer in Ruhestand bereitet hier "seine 310.23" auf eine Ausfahrt am nächsten Tag vor. Akribisch wird die Maschine stundenlang gereinigt, geölt, vorgeheizt...und beim Beobachten spürt man die "Beziehung" zwischen Mensch und Maschine, beinahe wie bei einem alten Ehepaar!
