I can't get the picture right.. +1.0 over. Light too strong. Raw taken. Such a nice composition and atmosphere.. Can't get the whites acceptable, without disturbing the light in other details and colors.Try second version with other software, to see what that will offer ..

Good Rob! A photo with high subject contrast will always remain a compromise .... The dynamic range of a digital camera does not exceed 14 f-stops (if at all). When photographed against the sun, we even need 20 f-stops! So we have to favor either the highlights or the shadows. But look at the masterpieces of Cartier-Bresson or Gruyaert, etc. (about whom we have exchanged ideas): you will always see eroded skies and shadows without any drawing! How about your software; can't you just brush over those highlights and diminish the contrast at least for 2 stops? With my software it is no problem! If you want, send me the RAW and I see what I can do to the picture (would be interesting to check out ....).Rolling eyes
