Over 60 now and I have been using Olympus cameras since late 70's when I used a pair of om1s which I used ,mainly for portraits. Got my first digital camera, the e510 about 5 or 6 years ago. Bought a 70-300mm lens to go with that and discovered I had the range for wildlife photography. Always wanted to shoot wildlife but could never afford the lenses back in my om days. Moved on to a second hand e30 and second hand 50-200mm mk1. after breaking the e30 bought an em-5 struggled with the 4/3 lenses on that and pre ordered the em1 as soon as it was released. I have since bought a second hand em1 body and now go roaming with a 50-200swd on one and the 300mmf2.8 on the other. I have my own hide at the bottom of my garden where I shoot small garden birds and squirrels. I also use the 60mm macro. I use a tripod in the hide, and carry one in the boot of my car just in case. have recently purchased the ee-1 dot sight, as the 4/3 lenses tend to block my left eye sight and i find it hard to follow moving subjects particulary birds
Now using an omd em-1 mkii along with my em-1s. have replaced my 50-200 swd with the m.zuiko 40-150 and 1.4x tc. The 300mmf2.8 is almost permanantly on the mkii as the performance is now so much better.
Now shooting with 2 em1 miis, the 300 f2.8 has been replaced by the 300mmf4, rarely use a tripod now, I have acquired an OM 500mmf8 mirror lens which is just for fun. Still have my two em1s,one of which is permantly in my car with 50-200mm lens attached
