Biography

I am a Passionate nature photographer from the Netherlands. My biggest passion is photographing landscapes but I also photograph birds, wildlife and macro. Born in 1982 I am using Olympus / OM System equipment for over 25 years. I started with an analog Olympus OM30 in my teen years and never switched brand after. Being a long time user of Olympus / OM SYSTEM gear means that I am extra proud that since 2022 I'm a member of the Ambassador program.

I photograph the most diverse landscapes all over the world. When I'm not traveling in foreign countries I photographs a lot in my native country the Netherlands. I always like to bring a story or atmosphere to a photograph. Usually that means getting up extremely early and wander around for that one shot I'm searching for. I like to make use of the available light and atmosphere. I often look for foggy conditions or I try to use telephoto lenses to catch that beautiful light. My style is described as warm and intimate fine art landscape photography.

I record all my photography trips and adventures for my own Landscape Photography YouTube channel. Every sunday I release a new on location video full of composition ideas, tips trick, settings and often the most beautiful scenery. Since I exclusively use Olympus / OM System gear for my photography the YouTube channel is also very interesting for everyone else using this. For me the "break free" slogan is key to my own photography. I like to wander around nature without planning my trip up front. I just choose an area and see what the day will bring me. I always take a wide scale of lenses to prepare myself for every opportunity I can come across during the day. This can be wide angle, telephoto or even macro images. I likes to to adjust myself to the given conditions so he can increase the chance on "keeper" shots in my portfolio. Olympus / OM System has build me the perfect camera system for my style of photography. Being small and lightweight but packed with stunning features and perfect image quality this system is all I could ask for.
