Biography

Vanaf juli 2024 gebruik ik de OM-1 Mark II met de lenzen 40-150mm  F4.0 PRO en 12-40 F2.8 PRO. Daarvoor 18 jaar met Canon en daarvoor een kleine 20 jaar Minolta. 

Ik fotografeer sport en in het bijzonder voetbal en atletiek. Daarnaast zijn landschappen in zwart-wit mijn favorieten.

In het verleden ook evenementen gefotografeerd voor de Wollebrandcross, ALS Westland, Wielerronde Honselersdijk. Daar zijn albums van op Google Foto's. Op Flickr en Blogger is wat ouder fotowerk te vinden. Op Instagram staan ook foto's gemaakt met een iPhone. 

Privacy

Als amateurfotograaf met een passie voor sport leg ik graag het krachtenspel, de concentratie en het specifieke unieke moment vast dat sporters in beweging definieert. 

Het doel van mijn foto's is niet louter registratie, maar het verbeelden van de esthetiek van sport: timing, lichaamstaal, en de unieke uitstraling van de sporter in de al dan niet collectieve prestatie. De foto's zijn dan ook gemaakt en geselecteerd vanuit een artistiek oogpunt, met als intentie het vastleggen en overbrengen van dat ene, onvervangbare moment. Hoewel ik geen professionele fotograaf ben, maak ik geregeld werk dat ik via wedstrijden of beperkte verkoop onder de aandacht breng, zonder commerciële exploitatie op grotere schaal.

In de AVG is bepaald dat het recht op privacy niet de verwerking voor journalistieke en artistieke doeleinden in de weg mag staan, tenzij de betrokkene kan aantonen dat de verwerking ernstige inbreuk op de persoonlijke levenssfeer betekent. In geval dat een sporter geen prijs stelt op de artistieke publicatie, dan wordt de betreffende foto door mij verwijderd.

As a hobby photographer I work from an artistic intention and consciously choose composition, timing, light and expression to convey a story or emotion.

I photograph sports and in particular football and athletics. In addition, landscapes in black and white are my favorites.

In the past I also photographed events for the Wollebrandcross, ALS Westland, Wielerronde Honselersdijk. There are albums of these on Google Photos. Some older photo work can be found on Flickr and Blogger. Instagram also has photos taken with an iPhone.

Privacy

As an amateur photographer with a passion for sports, I like to capture the power play, the concentration and the specific unique moment that defines athletes in motion.

The purpose of my photos is not merely to record, but to portray the aesthetics of sports: timing, body language, and the unique appearance of the athlete in the collective or otherwise performance. The photos are therefore made and selected from an artistic point of view, with the intention of capturing and conveying that one, irreplaceable moment. Although I am not a professional photographer, I regularly make work that I bring to the attention through competitions or limited sales, without commercial exploitation on a larger scale.

The GDPR stipulates that the right to privacy may not hinder processing for journalistic and artistic purposes, unless the data subject can demonstrate that the processing constitutes a serious infringement of personal privacy. In the event that an athlete does not appreciate the artistic publication, the photo in question will be deleted by me.
