From the early days of my childhood, I discovered my passion for photography. Armed with a 35mm and medium format film camera, I delved into the world of Soviet cameras like the Zenith and Kiev, setting the stage for my lifelong love affair with capturing moments through a lens. While my first camera differed from the conventional Olympus models, it laid the foundation for my journey as a professional photographer.

As a child, I fell in love with the art of photography—immersing myself in the wonders of nature, meticulously developing films, and dedicating countless hours to perfecting my craft in the red room. These formative experiences fostered a deep appreciation for the entire photographic process and shaped my creative perspective.

Over the course of nine years, I had the privilege of working in a prestigious photo laboratory, collaborating closely with talented photographers. Side by side, we embarked on various projects, engaging in post-production work and further refining our skills. This invaluable experience solidified my understanding of the industry and provided a springboard for my professional aspirations.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a lifelong interest in production, I pursued my engineering degree. However, my deep-rooted passion for photography persisted. During my studies, I found solace in the serenity of nature, frequently embarking on hikes and mountaineering expeditions. While traditional SLR cameras proved impractical in these rugged environments, my excitement reached new heights when Olympus introduced the MFT system—a game-changer that perfectly aligned with my need for a compact, yet professional-grade camera.

Embracing the technological advancements, I acquired my first PEN P-1 camera and embarked on a journey of self-discovery as a professional photographer. To this day, it remains a steadfast companion, defying the test of time and faithfully capturing the essence of my subjects.

Driven by a desire for even greater versatility and advanced features, I later acquired the OM-D EM-5 Mk2 —my trusted tool in creating masterful photographs. Its weatherproof construction enables me to fearlessly explore the world, capturing fleeting moments in any climate or setting.

My style of photography today effortlessly blends elements of street, art, and nature. As a seasoned traveler, I find immense joy in venturing into uncharted territories, constantly seeking inspiration through the immersive viewfinder of my camera—a transformative experience that allows me to encapsulate the essence of every place and person I encounter.

As a professional photographer, I firmly believe in the power of post-processing to elevate images to new heights. This conviction was nurtured during my time spent in the sacred red room, and it remains as relevant today as ever before. Whether working with film or embracing the digital realm, I understand that post-processing is an integral part of the artistic process, lending nuance and depth to every photograph.
